Key Workers and Settling In
We are aware it is vital that every child and parent has a special relationship with at least one adult in the nursery. We create this by having a Key Person system. Every child will be given a Key Person whose job it will be to settle in you and your child into the nursery and support them and liaise closely with you you.
We recognise that leaving your child for the first time is probably the hardest thing you will ever have to experience. So before you leave your child with us we recommend settling in visits, these will be booked in advance and the first visit is for both of you. We build up with another couple of visits where you leave your child for short periods of time this helps the child immensely in settling in and leaves you feeling confident that your child is happy in our care. During this process you will both be introduced to your Key Person. They will take you through all the daily routine’s of the Nursery and gain as much information about your child as possible to help with settling your child into the Nursery.
